Terms of Service.

Last updated: 2026-05-30

This is the agreement between you and Stack Start, Inc. ("we", "us", "our") when you use the stack start platform. By creating an account or accessing the service, you accept these terms.

1. Acceptance

By signing up for, accessing, or using stack start, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service. If you accept these terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use stack start. If you're between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you confirm a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf. The service is offered to individuals and organizations worldwide except where US export controls or local law prohibit it.

3. The bring-your-own provider model

Stack start is an orchestration and credential-governance layer. We do not resell provider capacity. When you connect Neon, Vercel, Sentry, Resend, Cloudflare, Supabase, or any other supported service through stack start, you are creating or linking your ownaccount with that provider. The bills are yours; the data lives on your accounts; the provider's terms govern that relationship.

You authorize stack start, while your connection is active, to call those providers' APIs on your behalf for the limited purpose of provisioning, reading state, and tearing down the resources you instruct us to create.

You may revoke any connection at any time. Where the provider exposes a programmatic revoke endpoint, we will invalidate the OAuth grant or API key on the provider side as part of revocation; for providers that don't, we'll surface a checklist of manual revocations to complete.

4. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure — including, especially, your stack start master key. Anyone who holds the master key can resolve the bundle of provider credentials it points at. Treat it the same way you'd treat the root password to a password manager.

Workspace owners are responsible for the actions taken by all members of their workspace. Sharing accounts between humans is discouraged — invite teammates as workspace members so the audit log attributes actions correctly.

5. Prohibited use

You may not use stack start to:

  • Provision infrastructure for illegal purposes, child exploitation, credential theft, malware distribution, or attacking other services.
  • Reverse-engineer our encryption protocols, exfiltrate other workspaces' data, or intentionally degrade the service for other users.
  • Evade rate limits, fees, or terms imposed by the third-party providers we integrate with.
  • Resell stack start access as a rebadged credential layer without a written partnership agreement with us.
  • Probe, scan, or load-test our infrastructure without a written authorization. Coordinated disclosure of vulnerabilities is welcome through security@stackstart.co.

6. Intellectual property

Stack start — the platform, our software, our brand and wordmark — is owned by Stack Start, Inc. and licensed to you for the duration of your subscription. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property.

Your code, your data, and your provider-account state remain yours. We claim no ownership over anything you build with stack start.

Feedback you send us about the product becomes ours to act on without compensation, but we will never publicly attribute feedback to you without your consent.

7. Fees and billing

Stack start offers four tiers, described at /pricing:

  • Free ($0). 5 stacks across dev, staging, and prod. 200 resolves per hour per key. 14-day audit retention. Community support.
  • Pro ($23 / mo). 20 stacks, 3 workspaces, invites enabled, multi-account per provider, 10 snapshots per stack, 30-day audit retention, 2000 resolves per hour per key. Billed monthly in advance. New signups receive a 14-day Pro trial with a payment card collected at signup; the workspace converts to Free on day 15 if no upgrade has been confirmed.
  • Team ($300 / mo for the first 15 seats, $20 / seat thereafter). 50 stacks, 5 workspaces, workspace key policies (per-role and per-user enforcement on derived keys), cascade revoke that fires upstream provider revoke APIs in the same action as the master-key revoke, 90-day audit retention with CSV / JSONL export, unlimited snapshots, 10000 resolves per hour per key. Billed monthly in advance.
  • Enterprise. Custom contract. Unlimited scale on every count gate, 365-day audit retention, SSO / SCIM (SAML, OIDC), VPC or on-prem control plane, dedicated solutions engineer.

Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If we materially change pricing on a tier you're on, we will give you at least 30 days notice before the change applies to your account.

Provider costs (Neon compute, Vercel deployments, Sentry events, etc.) are billed by those providers directly to your accounts. Stack start never marks up provider costs and never sees those invoices.

8. Termination

You may cancel at any time from settings. Your account remains active through the end of the current billing period; after that, your stacks become read-only for 30 days and are then deleted on the schedule described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially violate these terms. For material violations we will give written notice and a reasonable cure period; for security violations or illegal activity, suspension may be immediate.

9. Disclaimers

Stack start is provided AS IS and AS AVAILABLE. We make reasonable efforts to keep the service running and secure, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every defect will be corrected immediately.

We are not responsible for outages, data loss, billing disputes, or breaches at the third-party providers you connect via stack start. Those are governed by each provider's own terms.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STACK START'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF TWELVE MONTHS OF FEES YOU HAVE PAID US OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS.

IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR LOST DATA — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes arising out of or related to these terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

12. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms materially, we will email every workspace owner with the change at least 30 days before the new terms take effect. Continued use of stack start after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Non-material clarifications can be applied with the "Last updated" date refreshed at the top of this page.
